Margo Davila

Margo Davila is a Galesburg native who attended Galesburg schools (GHS graduate) and Carl Sandburg College. She is employed by the City of Galesburg Police Department. She has been married for 35 years and is a Mother of 2 children and grandmother of 2 grandchildren. She is also a Graduate of Leadership Galesburg Class XI and is the president of Hispanic Latino Resource Group Inc. She was awarded the Progressive Woman of "The Paper" for the month of May, 2005. She enjoys dancing, latino music and reading to her grandchildren.









Jim Jacobs

Jim Jacobs, Director, taught in the public schools of Galesburg, IL for 36 years. He has developed intercultural curricula and specializes in assisting schools in infusing interculturalism into their curriculum. Additionally, Jacobs is the author of a major study sponsored by HRA, Inc., which compares the performances of African-American and Euro-American students in the elementary social studies. He is also the developer and co-facilitator of Confronting Racism, an antiracism class designed for school districts. Jacobs' antiracism presentations focus both on his own ongoing journey through personal racism as well as his desire to dismantle racism in society.









Tony

Antonio S. Franklin, better known as Tony, President of Human Relations Associates, Inc., is a Certified Diversity Facilitator and Trainer and completed training in Dialogue Racism I & II classes. He is particularly respected and known for his leadership in promoting cultural relations. Over the past ten years, he has conducted numerous multicultural and diversity workshops for youth and adult leadership groups, pre-school parents, K-12 personnel, and higher education personnel. He is called upon frequently to guest lecture at high schools and colleges. As a result of his passion for improving human relations, he was the 2004 recipient of the Galesburg Human Relations Award.

His community service and volunteerism include Galesburg's Human Relations commission, Dr. MLK, Jr. Celebration Committees, Affirmative Action Committees, United Way, Crime Stoppers, Committee on Minority Affairs and many others.

Tony is a member of Full Gospel Church and a Deacon and Bible Study teacher. Hobbies include fishing, bicycling, power walking, knitting, and listening to gospel and jazz music. His personal mission statement is to be a model servant, be an outstanding spouse and father, serve the community and promote healthy human relations.
